CSTS 2020 Fundamentals is an online construction site orientation for workers new to the construction industry. It has nine modules and takes 2 to 3 hours. The Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) offers it for free. CSTS 2020 also has optional add-on modules. It replaced CSTS-09.
Can you take it on your phone?

What are the add-on modules?
Add-on modules cover job-specific topics, so employers can fit the training to their site. Most take under 15 minutes. Two take longer: Inclusive Dialogues (English) takes 2 hours, and Who is Responsible takes 2 to 4 hours. Each add-on module gives you its own certificate of completion.
Topics include:
Basic Ladder Safety.
Basic Scaffold Safety.
Confined Space Awareness.
Rigging, Hoists, and Cranes.
Working At Height.
Working Safely with Drywall.
Which modules do you need?
Your employer decides which add-on modules you need for site access. Ask your employer before you start.
If you completed the older CSTS-09, ACSA does not require you to complete CSTS 2020. Employers set their own site access rules, so check with yours.
